Cannabis will be sent into space for SpaceX

An agricultural technology company called Front Range Biosciences drew all attention with his statement. The company, which is conducting a scientific experiment, will send cannabis for SpaceX to the International Space Station (ISS). What is the purpose of the company that will send hemp to space? In the meantime, coffee plant cell cultures along with hemp are space travelers.Hemp will be sent into space
The company Front Range Biosciences took action to send coffee and cannabis plant cell cultures into space. The shipment, scheduled for March 2020, will be moved to the ISS for the next mission of SpaceX. The company will then investigate whether the conditions in space cause genetic mutation in plants.

Approximately 480 plant cell cultures will be kept in the ISS incubator for about 30 days. The cells will then be brought back to Earth.

Jonathan Vaught, founder and CEO of Front Range Biosciences, said that there are theories supporting the mutation of plants in space. He underlined that this research is an opportunity for new commercial applications.

Research by the company can clearly show how plants react to space travel stress. This, in turn, can open up new horizons for growing plants on earth. This has become more important, especially as the planet's climate changes.

Although cannabis is still illegal, cannabis is used in many areas from textiles to biofuels and even to health.
